On Tuesday, I had the pleasure of singing at Cavendish Court Care Home in Alderely Edge for a wonderful afternoon of music, poetry, and afternoon tea to celebrate the life of the Queen. I was honoured to sing at this special event and meet the residents, one of whom received a letter from the Queen just two days before her passing. The Mayoress of Stockport Jannette Slavinski also shared a beautiful poem she had written about the Queen.
Although the afternoon began solemnly as we fondly remembered our Queen, there was plenty of clapping, laughter, and even dancing as we enjoyed Her Majesty's favourite lively songs... Dancing Queen by ABBA and tunes by Cliff Richard!
Thank you to the wonderful activities co-ordinator Susan for organising such a lovely afternoon, and thank you for having me to sing X
